Vivian L. Lugo-Eschenwald, MD, owner and partner in Family Medicine Associates of Alexandria, located in Alexandria, Virginia, graduated from the Ponce School of Medicine in Ponce, Puerto Rico in 1990. After she completed her residency at the University of Maryland Hospital in 1993, Dr. Lugo-Eschenwald became board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. An advocate of natural family planning, she trained in the Creighton Model FertilityCare™ System in 2005 under Dr. Thomas Hilgers. She has lectured first-year medical students on the topic at Georgetown University School of Medicine and has mentored medical students interested in NFP through her practice. Interested in health promotion and disease prevention, Dr Lugo-Eschenwald is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Metabolic and Nutritional Medicine from the University of South Florida and is a member of the American Academy of Antiaging Medicine. Establishing Family Medicine Associates of Alexandria with Dr. Mircea in 2001, Dr. Lugo-Eschenwald alternates with her partner as company president. Monica Dillard, RN, BSN, MSNc, FNPc, brings her impressive background to the team at Family Medicine Associates of Alexandria, in Alexandria, Virginia. She has a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Kinesiology from the College of William and Mary, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Georgetown University, and a Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Virginia. She became a Registered Nurse in Virginia in 2008 and a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2013. Monica backs up her training with a wealth of practical experience as a clinician and personal care nurse. Marian Bautista, RN, BSN, FNP-C, is a family nurse practitioner certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Since 2017, she has practiced in Alexandria, Virginia, as an essential part of the Family Medicine Associates of Alexandria team. Patients of all ages appreciate her ability to counsel and mentor them and their families throughout their health care, ensuring that they understand their conditions and make informed decisions during their treatment.
Marian earned her master’s degree in nursing from Simmons College in Boston in 2016. Prior to graduating and becoming a family nurse practitioner, Marian had accumulated over 20 years of clinical experience and 10 years of experience in the emergency room. While working at Bethesda Hospital in Boynton Beach, Florida, Marian was recognized as Nurse of the Year.
Today, Marian uses her decades of experience and expertise to provide quality attentive care to the Alexandria community at Family Medicine Associates of Alexandria.
